Between
Win95 and finder, Win95 wins hands down there. I myself would not consider using an OS that did not have the PMs to at least some extent. Win95's interface is better than Win 3.1's, but mainly because of what concepts they integrated from Mac OS (what Mac users have had for years now).

why doesn't Win95 remember its own compressed drives?
If Win95 won't remember your password on your isp dialer its because Win95 is designed for a network and wants a user profile. Go to START - SETTINGS - CONTROL PANEL - PASSWORDS and tell Win95 who you are (establish your profile). When it wants a user password just leave the line blank. Now every time you boot up

Anyone remember Telemate for DOS? Win95 version?
PLEASE REMEMBER TO KEEP A COPY OF ALL FILES BEFORE CHANGING THEM! When you play in DOS on Win95 machine, the drivers for your CD-Rom could be absent. Why? Well because those drivers are activated from Win95 (depending on how Win95 was installed). The thing to understand is that DOS is still there... Yes it is.

Document files may be used interchangably by either OS as long as the associated application is installed correctly on each OS and you don't use any NTFS partitions (remember Win95 can't see NTFS). Seeing how you're starting from scratch I suggest installing Win95 first and then NT. That will give you a dual boot

Dialup Connection Will Not Remember Password
Remember Win95 has "the same Win32 API" as NT, while hardly being as 'bug free'. Bug free? Try writing Winsocks code. Or any networking code. You'll have to work through all sorts of bugs in Windows's "bug free" API. The OS/2 API is, in my opinion, vastly superior to the Win32 API. What Windows does have goign for
